Get the lead out with these un-leaded cylindrical steel weights. Weights are zinc coated to agold color for corrosion resistance. Comes in a 10 piece set, approximately 2 oz. total. Simply drill a 3/8" hole where you desire to add the weight and secure with glue. For a snug fit use an 11/32" drill bit.
These weights are great for concealing for the best looking car. Pre-drill your block before cutting your design. Cut out your design, finish shaping by filing and sanding until you get the desired shape and car paint ready. Paint your car, add the decorations, wheels and axles. Weighing the car, add weights one at a time until you get as close to racing weight as possible without going over. You want your car slightly under weight just in case the official scale reads differently than the one you used. Glue the weight in the weight holes you pre-drilled. Patch the holes with wood putty, sand smooth and then touch up with paint to match the car. It's a good idea to drill an additional small hole in the bottom of the car to add more adjustable weight if needed.
